• - We may also hold CV/Resumés if uploaded

1.3   What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Please note that we may allow third parties access to your data without additional permission from you if they are acting as a supplier for us of one of our direct services to you, or if they are processing data on our behalf, but we will take steps to ensure that your privacy rights are protected.

Specifically applicable to Testers only, we may use your data to provide you with information about the services of Test People, a recruitment agency and partner of the site. You accept that they may contact you about any suitable temporary and/or permanent roles they have been instructed to fill. If you decide to pursue any opportunity through Test People you agree to be bound by their standard terms and conditions found on their website. In addition, we may share a Tester’s profile (excluding personal information) as completed by that Tester with other companies (including other social network sites) and other Testers.

1.4   Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
It is your sole responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your password, and you will be responsible for any activity that occurs under your user name and password.

1.5   IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

1.6   Cookies

For the same reason we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on your browser or the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalized service. By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the EU or one of our service providers is located in a country outside of the EU. - In the event of a transfer of assets (if we sell or buy a business), your personal information may be disclosed, subject to continued confidentiality undertakings.

1.10 Data subject access request

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998 (an access request). Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
